The man who spent 25 years 'in prison and...'

Party work in remote areas always poses many specific difficulties, but in Binh Son commune, there is someone who has been involved in this work for nearly 2 decades, that is Mr. Tran Van Loi. In April 2003, Mr. Loi was elected as Secretary of the Party Cell of Hamlet 1. Before that, he was a prestigious person in the locality when he was the head of Hamlet 1 since 1994. In 25 years of "carrying the prison and...", Mr. Tran Van Loi has always been dedicated and concerned with the Party's tasks and mass mobilization work.

Village 1, Binh Son commune has 91 households and 374 people. Although the mountainous area has many difficulties, in his position as Party cell secretary, Mr. Loi has always strived to build and improve Party cell activities, and admit outstanding union members and youths into the Party. From 2017 to now, Village 1 Party cell has admitted 2 party members, increasing the number of party members to 6, of which 4 party members are local sources. With 2 newly admitted party members, Village 1 Party cell has become an outstanding party cell of Binh Son commune in implementing Project No. 01-DA/TU dated August 10, 2016 of the Provincial Party Committee on "Building party cells, developing party members in blocks, hamlets, and villages without party cells, without party members, and blocks, hamlets, and villages at risk of no longer having party cells in the period 2016 - 2020".

Mr. Loi shared that the work of motivating and calling on union members and young people to study and train to join the Party takes a lot of time and faces many difficulties. The main reason is that the local living conditions are limited, causing young people to want to focus on economic development or go abroad to work.

During his time as Party cell secretary, Mr. Tran Van Loi introduced more than 10 people to study Party sympathy. The desire of this devoted secretary is to develop a strong Party cell, recruit more party members with a younger average age and female party members. Not only devoted to the work of building the political system at the grassroots level, Mr. Loi is also a prestigious person with the villagers. He stood up to call for contributions to build the village cultural house, contributing to helping village 1 receive the title of District-level Cultural Village in 2018.
