In fact, hundreds of people responded to this call and gathered in Mong Kok to demand a real general election. But after midnight, this action turned into a larger-scale “guerrilla attack”.

The protesters continued to disrupt traffic by illegally crossing the street, blocking the street with trash bins, and constantly moving and changing direction, making the police tired of dealing with them. This action lasted until about 6am on November 29 and spread to the Tsim Sha Tsui area.

A Hong Kong police spokesman said they had to repeatedly use loudspeakers to advise and hold up warning banners, but protesters refused to comply and continued to cause trouble.

Some people even provoked and threw hard objects at the police... Conflicts broke out and by 6am on November 29, the police had arrested 28 people for "illegal assembly", "assaulting police", "possessing offensive weapons", "possessing tools that can be used for illegal purposes"... On the police side, 8 people were also injured./.
