(Baonghean) During the first training course for Party members in 2012 organized by the Party Committee of Regiment 335 (Division 324, Military Region 4), before starting the lesson, the teacher asked the question: "According to you, comrades, to study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, what should we do every day in our unit?" As soon as the question was finished, hundreds of hands were raised to speak.

After a while of choosing, Sergeant Le Ba Khanh Thanh - Platoon Leader of Platoon 12.7, Battalion 5, sitting in the last row on the right, was lucky to stand up and speak: "Based on Uncle Ho's five ethical standards of "diligence, thrift, integrity, uprightness, impartiality", I thought: "Like myself, every day in my position as a squad leader, I must always be diligent and hard-working, constantly strive to study to improve my qualifications in all aspects, always be exemplary and self-conscious. Difficult and difficult tasks must not be avoided but must be "rolled up" to do first to set an example for the soldiers. As for "thrift", Thanh did not analyze but said right away: "Every month I receive an allowance, I send back 400,000 VND to help my younger brother study at University in Hanoi. Since I have more seniority, after deducting expenses such as: soap, toothpaste, postage stamps, I send back about 1 million VND each month...". Thanh's opinion ended up receiving a lot of agreement from everyone, the whole hall burst into endless applause.

Once, I went with the comrades in charge of the 335th Regiment to the Cay Ngai training ground to inspect the combat readiness training. During the break, I observed the cadres take out a small notebook the size of a hand from their pockets, attentively reading each line, each word, and thinking from time to time. I went to the seat of Lieutenant Vi Xa Ghin - Platoon Leader of Platoon 1, Company 9, Battalion 6 to start a conversation, and learned that it was the notebook "19 things party members must not do". Ghin confided: "For us, this notebook is considered a "treasure" that we always carry with us, read anytime, anywhere, it is a compass for our actions. Therefore, in every work, every action, we must look at it to adjust ourselves. Only then can we avoid falling, not be tempted, avoid bad habits, social evils, and help cadres in the work of educating and managing troops". I couldn't believe my ears, in less than 5 minutes Vi Xa Ghin recited the 19 things party members are not allowed to do. I'm good, only when I speak will the soldiers listen, believe and respect me - Ghin added.

On the way back, we confided this content to Lieutenant Colonel Le Phi Tai - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Commander of Regiment 335. He confided: Currently, 100% of the cadres and party members in the Regiment have the habit of carrying the book "19 things party members are not allowed to do", considering it an inseparable item! Seeing my concern, Mr. Tai shared more: Cadres and party members must always reflect on themselves in the 19 things party members are not allowed to do, thereby doing what is right, avoiding what is bad, what is wrong, only then will the party member be clean, healthy, and have political courage... With many party members like that, the party cell and party committee will be clean and strong, building a strong and comprehensive unit.

Through what we saw and heard from cadres, party members, and youth union members in Regiment 335, we realized one thing: Learning and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example is not something far away, not something terrible, lofty, or grand, but is a daily, familiar task, and as cadres and party members, we must always reflect on ourselves.
