(Baonghean) -Implementing the policy of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on increasing border guard party members to participate in temporary activities at weak party cells and villages in border areas. Party member - Major Nguyen Van Thanh - Tung Huong Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard is one of the typical party members implementing this policy.
Major Nguyen Van Thanh, a mass mobilization officer at Tung Huong Border Guard Station of the Provincial Border Guard, was introduced by the Station's Party Cell to temporarily participate in activities at the Lien Huong Village Party Cell (Tam Quang Commune, Tuong Duong District). Tung Huong Village has 100% Thai ethnic people living there, with a poverty rate of 95%. As soon as he received the task of temporarily participating in activities at the Lien Huong Party Cell, determining that consolidating political bases must go hand in hand with economic development in the area, Nguyen Van Thanh advised the Party Cell to build model models in economic development and to build and strengthen organizations such as the Youth Union, Women's Union, Veterans Association... from which to replicate them in the entire village. The model models were selected to be built as pilot projects; he accompanied, guided, and provided technical guidance to the people so that they could feel secure in production. He advised the Party Cell to deploy wet rice cultivation, dig ponds for fish farming, and raise livestock in a concentrated manner, and to effectively implement the policies of the Party and the State, to gradually improve their lives.

Secretary of Lien Huong village Party Cell, Mr. Vi Dinh Thuyet said: "Previously, Lien Huong village Party Cell was still weak. Since the day cadre Thanh came to the village, the Party Cell's activities have improved significantly. The drafting of Resolutions after each meeting has closely followed the reality of the village. Many backward customs were discussed by the Party Cell, looking for ways to eliminate them. Cadre Thanh advised on building models such as the model of reclaiming rice fields for economic development, the model of village sanitation, the model of 4 good youth...)". In particular, the fire in 2009 burned down all 13 roofs of Lien Huong village and other related documents of the village. Nguyen Van Thanh used his salary to buy books and papers to serve the work of the Party Cell. With his contributions, Lien Huong Party Cell, which was weak, was recognized by superiors as a unit that excellently completed its tasks.
With his contributions, he was loved and admired by the local people. For many consecutive years, he was recognized as an excellent party member, a Determined to Win Emulation Soldier and was promoted ahead of schedule.
