People who are passionate about collecting Uncle Ho's photos
(Baonghean) -There is a person who has spent his whole life silently pursuing his passion, passionately seeking joy and happiness in his passions, which seems to have become the reason for his life. He is teacher Nguyen Nhu Khoi (in hamlet 9, Thanh Van commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An), who has spent decades collecting photos and pen names of President Ho Chi Minh.
He is a retired teacher, born and raised in a well-off family in a countryside with a rich tradition of revolution and love of learning. After more than 30 years of teaching, in 1989, teacher Nguyen Nhu Khoi retired and returned to his hometown to live with his family. Although he is nearly 80 years old and has been a member of the Party for more than 40 years, he still refuses to sit back and rest in his old age but continues to participate in mass cultural and artistic activities, participate in teaching and composing music, and write literary criticism. His special feature that few people can do is: spending decades traveling everywhere, regardless of whether in the South or the North, to find and collect documents about President Ho Chi Minh's portrait. Currently, he has collected 228 photos and 128 pen names of him. Among them are many very important and valuable documents related to Uncle Ho's life and career.
When we met him, despite his "rare" age, he still looked agile and clear-headed. Especially when talking about Uncle Ho, his passion and his portraits, his eyes lit up, he enthusiastically told stories, told about his chance to collect photos with all his sincerity. His photos and portraits have been treasured by him for decades.
The collection of documents about Uncle Ho by teacher Nguyen Nhu Khoi is a practical and very important work, not only for the present but also for the future. In addition to expressing his boundless love for Uncle Ho, it is also the pride of all Vietnamese people for a great leader of the entire Vietnamese nation. What teacher Nguyen Nhu Khoi is doing has been highly appreciated by the people, especially when the whole country is enthusiastically organizing many exciting activities to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Uncle Ho's birthday and implementing phase 2 of the campaign to Study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh.
