Nghe An woman 'talks nonsense' about having relationships with many high-ranking leaders
Having no job, Chat still bragged about having many relationships with high-ranking leaders, so she would be able to help many people go to school or get jobs. In fact, this woman's advertisements were just "bullshit".
On August 24, the Hanoi People's Court brought Le Thi Chat (aka Phu, born in 1952, residing in Tan Ky town, Tan Ky district, Nghe An) to trial and sentenced the defendant to a severe sentence for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property", according to Article 139 of the Penal Code. The victim in the case is Ms. Vu Thi Loan (born in 1975), residing in Thanh Xuan district and also a "job broker".
Accordingly, on September 18, 2012, Ms. Loan sent a petition to the police accusing Le Thi Chat of defrauding her of more than 1 billion VND by "running" for school and "running" for jobs. And all of this money came from more than 10 people who asked her to help them get their children into school or get jobs.

During the investigation, the police clarified that through social relationships, Ms. Loan knew Chat. During the time they knew each other, Ms. Loan was told by Chat that she had many relationships with high-ranking leaders, so she could "run" for anyone who wanted to go to school or work.
Trusting Chat, in 2009, Ms. Loan told many relatives and acquaintances and 11 people asked her to "bribe" for their children to study at some secondary schools and work at banks. Receiving money and documents from her relatives, Ms. Loan quickly went to Chat to ask for help.
After that, Chat received 800 million VND in advance from Ms. Loan to “buy” school places and “buy” jobs. However, by the time the commitment was made, Chat could not get any students to go to school or work. In fact, Chat did not have any relationship with high-ranking leaders as she claimed.
Most of the money he received from Ms. Loan was then “torn” into small pieces by Chat, and he continued to ask for help from many other people, all of which were unsuccessful. When he was asked to return the money, Chat was only able to pay Ms. Loan a portion of the money and is still embezzling more than 430 million VND from the victim.
On the victim’s side, knowing that she had encountered a scammer, Ms. Loan was forced to take out her family’s money to pay back dozens of people she had taken advantage of. During the process of resolving the case, Ms. Loan requested the court to force the defendant to pay back the remaining amount of money she had embezzled and to strictly punish Chat.
After half a day of trial, considering that the defendant's actions constituted the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" and the defendant's testimony was consistent with the evidence and related documents, the Hanoi People's Court of First Instance decided to sentence Le Thi Chat to 8 years in prison, according to the crime charged.
