People in the northern provinces struggle in floodwaters
Prolonged rains and floods in the North have caused widespread flooding, forcing people to make their own bamboo rafts, banana rafts, and use pieces of wood and car inner tubes to navigate the water.

| Heavy rains spread in the northern provinces and spread to the North Central region. Floods in the upper reaches of the Ma River rose rapidly, isolating many villages in Cam Thuy, Ba Thuoc, Quan Hoa, and Muong Lat districts (Thanh Hoa).
