People at temporary market A1 are given favorable conditions to do business elsewhere.
(Baonghean) - The clearance of the temporary market A1 to resettle the apartment complex A - Quang Trung forced businesses and traders with tents and stalls at the temporary market A1 to find new business locations.
At the end of February 2017, business households in the A1 temporary market submitted a petition stating: Quang Trung temporary market was formed from a landfill by a group of business households who cleaned up the garbage and made a surface to form the temporary market from 1990 to the present. Over the past 27 years, business households have always complied with all local policies and guidelines, and have contributed all local fees and taxes in full every month.
Up to this point, we have received a notice from the Quang Trung Ward People's Committee about clearing the market to make way for the Petroleum Company to build apartments. Our group of women strongly agrees and supports the urban development. However, the women doing business in the temporary market are all unemployed, and their family lives mainly depend on the income from the market. Therefore, we request the Quang Trung Ward People's Committee to create favorable conditions to relocate the temporary market to another place so that we can do business. We request the Petroleum Company to support the initial funding for the self-built kiosks of the households in the temporary market.

It is known that, implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee and Vinh City People's Committee on the resettlement of people in houses A1, A5, A6 of the project to build and renovate area A - Quang Trung apartment building, to ensure progress according to the plan to relocate people before May 19, 2017, Quang Trung Ward People's Committee issued Notice No. 02/TB-UBND dated January 3, 2017 on the clearance of the temporary market A1 to resettle houses A1, A5, A6 of apartment building area A - Quang Trung. Accordingly, the notice is sent to business households and traders with tents and stalls at the temporary market A1 to proactively find new business locations, dismantle their tents and stalls and hand over the premises before February 28, 2017.
Talking to reporters about the above issue, Mr. Ha Thai Son - Chairman of Quang Trung Ward People's Committee said: Temporary market A1 is not included in the planning of the market system of the province and city, mainly temporary tents. To clear the land for temporary market A1, in January 2016, Quang Trung Ward People's Committee announced the relocation of business locations for 73 households to dismantle Quang Trung Hotel to make a 32m road in the project area.
The ward proposed to the investor to support 73 households with funds to relocate their business locations. Some households stopped doing business after receiving the support money (1 million VND/household), while some households requested the ward to create conditions for them to continue doing business behind house A1 while the project has not been implemented in this area;
And to continue with the site clearance, on January 3, 2017, the Ward People's Committee sent a notice to all business households at the A1 temporary market about the site clearance at the temporary market before February 28. After that, the business households submitted a petition to the ward with the above content.
Thus, Vinh city and Quang Trung ward affirmed that temporary market A1 is a flea market, the temporary market is not in the city's planning, so the State's policy on compensation for site clearance does not exist; the investor has supported each household with 1 million VND/household, and the remaining households have also received it.
Currently, Quang Trung ward has run out of land and cannot arrange other business locations. In Vinh city, the Agricultural Wholesale Market has 80-100 business locations; Quan Bau market will be completed in about a month. If any household needs a business location, please write an application and the ward People's Committee will confirm so that relevant units can create conditions for people to have a new business location.
