People are worried about falling rocks collapsing their houses.
(Baonghean.vn) - 6 households in Tan Hop village, Luc Da commune are living insecurely in houses located at the foot of the hill in an area at risk of landslides and need to be urgently relocated.
Tan Hop village, Luc Da commune has 124 households living there. Due to its geographical location, many households in the village build their houses close to the foot of high mountains, where there are many tons of orphaned rocks scattered on the mountainside.
In recent years, every rainy and stormy season, 6 households in Tan Hop village are worried about landslides and rolling rocks. This worry is always present and has a basis because during the rainy season a few years ago, the villagers witnessed a large rock about 2m high.3rolled down the mountain into a family's house. Luckily, the family was away that day so they were not affected.

Mr. La Van Thanh, Tan Hop village, Luc Da commune, shared: "My family and 5 other families are always worried every time the rainy season comes because there are many large rocks above the house. My family has lived here for 15 years, and every year when the rainy season comes, we are always worried. This year, my family had to evacuate 3 times because of heavy rain. We know it is dangerous, but our family does not know where to move because our family's circumstances do not allow it."
We also witnessed a huge rock weighing tons leaning against a tree trunk right above Mr. Thanh's house. If there was heavy rain or flood, the rock could roll down to his house at any time.

Mrs. Thu also shared: “After many years living at the foot of the hill, my family is always worried about falling rocks every time there is a storm. Many days when it rains heavily, the whole family takes temporary shelter at a nearby relative’s house, waiting for the rain to stop before daring to return.”

Ms. Luong Thi Hien - Vice Chairman of Luc Da Commune People's Committee said: 6 households with 25 people in Tan Hop village are in an area with high risk of landslides. During the recent storms No. 2 and No. 10, to ensure the safety of people's lives, we evacuated people to community houses.
Currently, the commune has asked for permission from the District Party Committee and the District People's Committee to plan a new land area and relocate these households out of the landslide risk area. However, solving this problem is beyond the resources of the commune and district. We hope that the province will pay attention and provide more financial support./.
