According to the investigation agency, the subject Nguyen Huu Son and Ms. Duong Thi Chung (victim) residing in Nghia Hop commune, Tan Ky district had a romantic relationship for about 5 months. Recently, there were conflicts between the two.

On the evening of July 3, 2017, Nguyen Huu Son rode his motorbike to Ms. Chung's house to agree on the marriage, but Ms. Chung refused and asked to break up, so an argument broke out.
