People in flash flood areas stabilize their lives in Na Cang resettlement area
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2009, Yen Tinh commune, Tuong Duong was hit by a terrible flash flood that caused many roads to be broken and washed away, damaged primary schools and kindergartens, and killed 5 people. Faced with this situation, the Provincial People's Committee allowed the construction of the Na Cang - Yen Tinh Emergency Resettlement Area Infrastructure Construction Project.
This project has now been completed, with over 60 households relocated to a new place to live in peace. The Na Cang resettlement area in Yen Tinh commune has a total value of 35 billion VND, the contract implementation period is from October 22, 2012 to October 22, 2015.
While many emergency resettlement areas in the province have been unfinished for many years, Na Cang Resettlement Area was built on schedule. Considered one of the highest quality and most beautiful resettlement projects in Nghe An province, the entire project was completed 6 months ahead of the contracted time.
This is a remarkable effort of the leaders of Tuong Duong district in directing the focus on compensation and site clearance so that the construction unit can focus on construction. The construction unit has only advanced 17/35 billion VND but has invested its own capital to complete the resettlement area.
