'Beach town beauty' participates in meaningful social activities

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 25, the Organizing Committee of the 2016 "Beauty of the Sea" contest held a launching ceremony for the volunteer program "Making the sea cleaner" in Cua Lo town and visited and gave gifts to wounded soldiers at Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center, Nghi Loc district.

The launching ceremony of the volunteer program "Make the sea cleaner" is a practical and meaningful activity expressing the feelings and responsibility of young people towards social issues, especially the issue of protecting marine environmental resources today.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and Cua Lo Town People's Committee, 30 finalists of the 2016 "Beauty of the Coast" contest and more than 200 youth union members participated in collecting trash at Cua Lo beach.

Candidates participate in activities to protect the marine environment by doing specific, practical things such as collecting trash and making the beach cleaner.

Each beauty participating in the beach cleaning activity is an ambassador of beautiful actions contributing to building Cua Lo coastal town in particular and Nghe An homeland in general.

Each bag of trash collected today will contribute to making the living environment of the sea and of everyone cleaner and more beautiful.

Through the activity of making the sea cleaner, the Organizing Committee of the contest hopes to inspire and spread the spirit of volunteering for community life to a large number of young people and the masses about environmentally friendly living behaviors, protecting the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland.
