Mr. Pham Xuan Linh (born 1964), father of football player Xuan Manh, said that during Tet, many people came to wish the family a happy new year.

“This year, my family celebrated Tet the same as last year, but knowing that there would be more people coming to visit, I asked my wife to buy a few more packages of candy and a few more kilos of wine to treat everyone,” Mr. Linh happily said.

He also expressed his gratitude for the fans' affection for his son and shared that this was the first year his family had welcomed so many people to celebrate Tet.

Previously, Xuan Manh’s family was among the poorest in the commune. Passionate about football since childhood, Xuan Manh decided to pursue a career in “shorts and shirt”. However, it was not until he reached the first team of SLNA that Xuan Manh was able to help his parents somewhat.

Also after the success with the U23 Vietnam team, from the rewards he received, this player was able to help his parents celebrate Tet more fully than previous years.

Xuan Manh confided that although he was very tired because of the continuous matches, the affection of his family and fans made him feel much warmer.

According to the competition plan, on February 24, the 9th day of the lunar calendar, the Nghe An team will play the National Super Cup against the 2017 V.League champion Quang Nam at Hang Day Stadium. Therefore, on the 4th day of Tet, Xuan Manh will have to leave his family to join the SLNA team.
