Graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics (Vinh University) in 2002, teacher Nguyen Thi Thoa taught at Dang Thuc Hua High School. For nearly 12 years standing on the podium, she has always done well in her role as the "ferryman" bringing students to the shore of knowledge. Her teaching motto is "Putting the interests of students first". Therefore, she pays close attention to ensuring equal learning rights for all students. For good students, she sets a teaching goal so that they do not have to struggle to attend "preparation centers" but still pass the university entrance exam (because most of the students are children of poor farmers). As for weaker students, she voluntarily organizes free tutoring classes with twice the number of lessons as for good students so that they can keep up with the general level in the class. In addition, Ms. Thoa also compiled her own lesson plans and teaching methods for general students with the aim of providing and helping students acquire basic knowledge and skills to learn a profession.

In addition to being assigned to teach math, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thoa was also assigned to be the homeroom teacher. At the beginning of the school year, when she took charge of a new homeroom class, the first thing she did was to distribute information surveys for the students to fill out. This helped her better understand the circumstances of each student. Some students lacked the care of both parents, living with elderly grandparents with a small monthly allowance; some were orphans, their mothers were old and weak, and their sisters were disabled. For students with such special circumstances, she often cared for and helped them by exempting them from paying their dues and giving them gifts of encouragement during the Tet holiday.

When a student has an accident or misfortune, Ms. Thoa always tries to be the first one to be there to share with them and their families. For students with good academic performance, she often collects good books or buys them as gifts at the end of the semester. Ms. Thoa's love for her students is concrete and meaningful, such as during the hot season, when the students come to school without drinking water, Ms. Thoa boils water at home and brings it to them to drink.

Besides her love and devotion to her students, Ms. Thoa is also a strict teacher but full of tolerance and generosity towards students who make mistakes. In her class, there are students who skip school to play video games, she has to go directly to the internet cafe many times to take them home, tutor them regularly, and create opportunities for them to focus on studying. There are students who often fight, she has worked hard to ride a bicycle home with these students every day to create closeness, openly discuss and find the cause to resolve. Those students gradually realized and focused on studying, among them, some passed the entrance exams to 2 universities with scores above 20.

Nearly 12 years on the podium, with 3 courses of mature students, especially the classes led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thoa have 100% of students passing the university entrance exam with an average score of 7.02/subject. Last school year, the provincial excellent student competition team led by her had 3 students winning prizes, including 1 second prize and 2 third prizes. This is the motivation for Ms. Thoa to continue to strive for her beloved students.
