Hearing the shout of robbery, Mr. Tran Vi Dai rushed in and knocked down the robber but was also injured and had to be hospitalized.
On December 17, the People's Committee of Hoa Binh commune, Xuyen Moc district (Ba Ria-Vung Tau province) awarded Mr. Tran Vi Dai (45 years old) for his outstanding achievements in crime prevention.
On the same day, Xuyen Moc District Police also detained Nguyen Van Trung (42 years old) to clarify the act of robbery.
Previously, on the afternoon of December 16, on a street in Hoa Binh commune, Trung approached and snatched a necklace worth more than 7 million VND from a 60-year-old woman who was walking and then sped away.
