“The woman arrested is Saja Abdul Hamid al-Dulaimi, the sister of an IS member who was reportedly killed in a bombing he was involved in,” interior ministry spokesman Brigadier General Saad Maan told Reuters.
The wives of terrorist leader Baghdadi are Asmaa Fawzi Mohammed al-Dulaimi and Esraa Rajab Mahel al-Qaisi, not Saja al-Dulaimi as announced by the Lebanese authorities, Mr. Saad Maan said.
Saja Dulaimi left her former home in Syria, joining a wave of mostly women fleeing IS attacks in Syria.
Lebanese security confirmed yesterday that the army had captured Baghdadi's wife and child while they were fleeing Syria last month. The woman entered Lebanon using a fake passport. The Lebanese Ministry of Defense is also investigating her background.
