(Baonghean) - For 12 consecutive years, Xuan Chau hamlet, Van Thanh commune (Yen Thanh) has maintained the title of Cultural Village, the hamlet party cell has achieved "Clean and Strong" and is a typical party cell recognized by the superior Party Committee and awarded many certificates of merit. This result must be attributed to the role of female party cell secretary Ho Thi Phuc - a prestigious person, always dedicated, exemplary, and devoted to all the work of the hamlet and village.
Ms. Phuc was born into a family with a father of the Van Kieu ethnic group in Khe Sanh, Quang Tri, who had to move to the North. Due to difficult circumstances, she could not follow her father's teaching career, so she stayed at home and actively participated in local mass organization activities. For 13 years, she was the deputy secretary of the commune youth union, then the hamlet party committee, and now the party cell secretary... In any position, she always upholds the sense of responsibility of a party member to fulfill her tasks well, gaining the trust of the people and the praise of her superiors. As the party cell secretary of a purely agricultural hamlet, the lives of the people still face many difficulties, and she herself is a woman, so there are many difficulties and challenges, but with enthusiasm and exemplary spirit, she and the hamlet party committee have focused on leading the implementation of key political tasks in the locality. Ms. Ho Thi Phuc shared: “With the trust of the Party cell and the neighbors in the neighborhood, I was assigned the task of being the Party cell secretary. At first, I was very worried because my family's economy was not stable, my children were still young, and I was a woman. However, with the encouragement of my family, the Party cell and the neighbors, I overcame it and arranged my family and social work reasonably to complete the assigned work.”
To gain the trust of her neighbors, Ms. Phuc was the first person to take on contracts for a remote area with difficulty in irrigation water to convert the land into vegetable fields. Each season has its own produce, thanks to early planting and good care, her family's vegetable garden always has a good price and brings in a good income. Xuan Chau hamlet is a purely agricultural hamlet, because it is at the end of the commune, it is very difficult to have irrigation water for agricultural production, especially rice cultivation. With the responsibility of a leader, Ms. Phuc always struggles to find ways to bring science and technology, learn about new plants and animals for the people. During the times when the People's Committee of Van Thanh commune allowed her to visit typical economic models with high income in localities inside and outside the district, she researched and studied to encourage people to apply them appropriately to the actual conditions in their locality.
With the knowledge imparted by Ms. Phuc, the people of Xuan Chau hamlet have gradually changed their backward farming practices, applying scientific and technical advances to production to improve economic efficiency. Therefore, in the hamlet, there are only 9 poor households left, 100% of party member households are no longer poor households, over 95% of cultural families are well-off, rich and have a stable economy. Commenting on Ms. Phuc's contributions to the hamlet, Mr. Dang Minh Thuan - Xuan Chau hamlet, Van Thanh commune said: "Since becoming the Party cell secretary, Ms. Phuc has always been enthusiastic in her work, enthusiastically taking the lead in all movements and having innovations, especially in converting the structure of intensive seasonal crops to increase productivity. In life, she is always close to her neighbors; always helps families with difficult lives; wholeheartedly disseminates and promptly implements policies of superiors to the people. She is loved and trusted by everyone and is a reliable support for the Party cell as well as the people in the hamlet".
Not only good at public affairs, Ms. Phuc is also good at housework, always exemplary in the movement to build an equal, progressive, prosperous and happy family. Her family has voluntarily implemented family planning with 2 daughters and has a consistent viewpoint of stopping at 2 children to raise healthy children and teach them to be good. Exemplary and dedicated to all work, Party cell secretary Ho Thi Phuc has been commended by the commune Party Committee for many years in a row for her achievements in Party building work.
