During the investigation, the police determined that Nguyen Thi Phuong Du (born in 1982, in Cau Giay district, currently in Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi) is not a bank employee, is not eligible to buy internal shares, and does not own internal shares of a bank in Hanoi.

But this woman provided information about her being given priority to buy internal ESOP shares with preferential treatment for employees and shareholders issued by the bank and then reselling them at a price lower than the listed price to appropriate investors' assets.

Initially, the police determined that, believing Du, many people transferred a total of more than 3 billion VND to the subject. To serve the investigation, the police requested that anyone whose property Nguyen Thi Phuong Du had appropriated through the form of receiving money to buy internal shares of the bank, contact the Hanoi City Police to resolve the matter.
