At about 3:30 p.m. on December 25, on National Highway 1A (in Cam Minh Commune, Cam Xuyen District, Ha Tinh), the Drug Crime Prevention Task Force No. 2, the Coast Guard, in coordination with the Drug Prevention and Control Team of the Ha Tinh Customs Department and Cam Xuyen District Police, broke up a special case with code CA/HQHT-CSB006, urgently arresting Tran Thi Hoa (born in 1972), residing in Bao Thanh, Yen Thanh District, for illegal transportation of drugs.

The investigation team seized evidence including 3 heroin cakes, 85 million VND in cash, and 2 cell phones.

Initially, Hoa confessed that he was transporting the drugs to the southern provinces for consumption when he was discovered and arrested.
