About 100 meters from alley 74 Tan Son Nhi, the motorbike driven by the woman suddenly jumped onto the sidewalk while turning a corner, causing the victim to fall onto the road and be seriously injured. The victim was then taken to the hospital for emergency treatment but due to the severity of her injuries, she did not survive.
A relative said the victim’s name was Nguyen Thi Minh Tho (59 years old, living in Tan Phu district). She returned to Vietnam from the US 2 days ago. Before the incident, Ms. Tho went to buy a phone.
A representative of Tan Phu District Police said that after receiving the report, the unit immediately sent people to the scene to record the incident.
“Many people reported that the woman had an accident while chasing the robber. We have recorded it and are investigating and verifying it,” said a representative of Tan Phu District Police.
