Vinalines ship survivors dock in Singapore
According to Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Tran Hai Hau, crew member Dau Ngoc Hung, a survivor of the Vinalines Queen ship sinking on December 25, arrived at Singapore's Marine South Pier at 12:15 pm today, January 4 (Singapore time).

Mr. Hung would like to express his deep gratitude to Ambassador Tran Hai Hau and all the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore, Vinalines Shipping Company as well as the press agencies for their special attention to Mr. Hung and his family in recent days.
The only survivor found so far of the Vinalines Queen ship also expressed his hope that the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center will continue to make efforts to search for the missing crew members and hopes that his "brothers" will also have the same luck as him.

Ambassador Tran Hai Hau and representatives of Vinalines Shipping Company welcomed crew member Dau Ngoc Hung at the port. Previously, procedures to receive this crew member from the London Courage, the ship that rescued Hung from a lifebuoy on December 30, had been carried out.
Ambassador Tran Hai Hau said that in recent days, the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore has been actively working with the local authorities to complete the necessary procedures so that Mr. Hung can return to reunite with his family as soon as possible.
It is expected that crew member Dau Ngoc Hung will be brought back to Vietnam on Vietnam Airlines flight VN 660, scheduled to land at Noi Bai airport at 6:15 p.m. today.
Mr. Dau Ngoc Hung, born in 1980, from Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district - Nghe An, is the only person known to be alive after the Vinalines Queen ship accident. The search for the remaining 22 crew members who are currently missing and the Vinalines Queen ship is still being coordinated by Vinalines and foreign partners./.
