A teacher dedicated to the mass sports movement
(Baonghean) - Every week, three afternoons at the Cua Lo Town Sports Center, there is a volleyball class that attracts a large number of young people to participate. This is a useful playground that helps children both exercise and have fun. The person who directly trains and "inspires" these classes is teacher Tran Tho Loan (Nghe An College of Tourism and Commerce).
Born and raised in Nghi Khanh commune (Nghi Loc), the house is only about 2 kilometers from the sea, so since middle school, every afternoon, Nguyen Tho Loan often went out with his friends to play beach volleyball. With good physical strength, talent and a passion formed early, he has always been a prominent face; always actively participating in the sports movements of the commune and district. After graduating from high school, Loan passed the entrance exam to Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports, majoring in Sports Training. When working at Nghe An College of Tourism and Commerce, becoming a lecturer of Physical Education, teacher Tran Tho Loan always actively participated in the sports movements of Cua Lo Town. As a beach volleyball player representing Cua Lo Town to compete in provincial sports tournaments and achieved many high achievements.
Teacher Tran Tho Loan shared that beach volleyball is a sport that not only requires endurance but also good technique and flexibility of the hands. In addition, when playing doubles, you need to coordinate well, so practicing regularly helps me maintain a stable performance. Although I am busy with teaching, I always take time to practice volleyball every day; sometimes I practice with the school team, with classes at the center, or practice on my own on the beach. Sports competitions often take place in the summer, so we often have to practice on the hot and sunny sand. To avoid the sun, we have to wake up very early, practicing from 4-5am. But on "sprint" days, the team has to practice in the afternoon (from 3-4pm), practicing on the sand, hot and sunny, burning our legs. But for the common achievement, we are still enthusiastic.

Teacher Tran Tho Loan's efforts have been rewarded with medals and high achievements at provincial congresses and competitions. The men's doubles volleyball team that he participated in won the provincial beach volleyball championship for many consecutive years (2007, 2008, 2011). At the 6th Provincial Sports Festival, the volleyball team (men's doubles) that teacher Tran Tho Loan participated in won the Gold Medal. At the recent 7th Congress, the Cua Lo Town beach volleyball men's doubles team also won the Silver Medal.
In addition to his professional teaching duties, Mr. Loan also devotes much effort to building and developing the school's sports movement. Every year, Mr. Loan always actively selects students with qualities and passion for sports to form volleyball and soccer teams (men's and women's) and focuses on investing time and effort to train these teams. Thanks to that, the soccer teams of Nghe An College of Tourism and Commerce not only lead the sports movement of Cua Lo Town but also achieve high achievements in provincial competitions. The school's soccer team won the first prize of the Television Cup in 2008; the first prize of the Football Tournament of Nghe An and Ha Tinh universities in 2006 and 2012. In volleyball, the men's doubles won the first prize in 2009; in 2012, the women's doubles won the first prize at the Cua Lo Town Volleyball Tournament.
With the desire to pass on the "fire of passion" for sports to young people, Mr. Loan organized a volleyball class at the sports field of Cua Lo Town Center. To encourage the children to participate in practice, this young coach used his own money to buy balls for practice. The practice hours were comfortable and fun like playtime because the young teacher was enthusiastic and sociable with the young people like companions. Thanks to that, Mr. Loan's volleyball class always attracted young people to participate in learning throughout the year. In the past 2 years, Mr. Loan's volleyball class has attracted nearly 100 young people in Cua Lo Town to participate. And more meaningfully, this has become a useful playground for the young people of Cua Lo Town; helping them both exercise and have fun.
Speaking about teacher Tran Tho Loan, Mr. Vo Hong Hai - Deputy Director of Cua Lo Town Sports and Physical Training Center said that teacher Loan is not only an excellent athlete with many achievements, but also a core factor contributing to improving the quality of the physical training and sports movement of Cua Lo Town in recent years. He is also very enthusiastic about activities to promote and popularize sports to the masses, especially the young generation; contributing to promoting the mass physical training and sports movement in the locality. In the coming time, the center will create conditions for volleyball classes directly taught and coached by teacher Loan to continue to be maintained and expanded; at the same time, develop other sports to serve the needs of the people and promote the mass physical training and sports movement.
In addition to the volleyball class in Cua Lo Town, Mr. Loan also invested money to open a sports training class in Nghi Huong Commune, with the hope that children in rural areas will have the opportunity to study, play and pursue their passion right in their hometown.
