People who lack sleep may have reduced immunity.
According to a new study by American scientists published on February 26, lack of sleep will have negative consequences on gene expression.
For a long time, many scientific studies have proven that lack of sleep is directly related to the causes of cardiovascular diseases, cognitive decline and obesity.

Recently, American scientists have conducted further research on the molecular mechanisms behind this phenomenon and concluded that lack of sleep also seriously affects gene expression.
The gene expression of about 711 genes in a person's body will be negatively affected if they sleep for only 6 hours or less per night for a week in a row. These include genes related to inflammation, immunity and stress tolerance.
Additionally, when compared with people who slept 10 hours a night, scientists also found that sleep-deprived people had abnormal genetic circadian rhythms.
According to statistics, currently about 30% of American workers, equivalent to 40.6 million people, sleep an average of 6 hours or less per night. Scientists recommend that an ideal sleep for adults is 7-8 hours per night./.
