An armless man in Haryana, India has overcome all obstacles to become a professional tailor.

Madan Lal (45) was born without arms but learned to do everyday tasks with his feet. Now he uses his flexible toes to create beautiful clothes at a tailor shop in his village.

"I do everything with my feet. From measuring, cutting fabric to using the sewing machine," Daily Mail quoted Mr. Madan.

Speaking about growing up with his disability, he explained: "It didn't affect me at all during my childhood. My grandparents used to look after me and help me with chores."

However, he could not avoid the prejudices of the world.

"When I was young, most schools refused to accept me. Teachers also did not let me go to class," Madan sadly recalled.

"I was disappointed and thought I would prove to them that I was not useless. My family did not have money to send me to school so I would have to do something to support myself."

At the age of 23, Madan decided to learn tailoring. Although the beginning was difficult, he did not give up.

"I traveled to many places and met many tailors. I asked them to teach me the craft so that I could earn a living. But they all laughed at me. They said I couldn't sew clothes without using my hands."

He then went to Fatehabad and looked for a tailor willing to teach him.

"At first he refused me and asked me how I would sew. Then I replied that please give me a chance. He agreed and within 10-15 days, my teacher said that I would succeed. That made me very happy."

Within a year, Madan had learned the techniques of sewing. He then returned to his village and opened his own tailor shop.

"It was the best day of my life. I saw people coming to the store to congratulate me. The whole village was happy as if they were my family," he excitedly shared.

In the early days of opening the shop, some customers were skeptical about Madan's "skills", but gradually they believed that this armless man could become a real tailor.

He proudly boasted: "Some people used to say I might ruin clothes because I used my feet to sew, but now everyone in the village comes to my shop to have clothes made... I have won everyone's trust."
