Low-income people in Nghe An have no chance to buy cheap houses.
(Baonghean.vn) - The 30,000 billion VND credit package was implemented for loans from June 1, 2013, and will expire on June 1, 2016. Thus, after June 1, loans will no longer enjoy preferential interest rates. This information makes many customers who have signed credit contracts to borrow money to buy houses from the 30,000 billion VND package worried and anxious.
Currently, the amount of loans committed by banks nationwide to customers has exceeded the credit limit of over 30,000 billion VND. The State Bank's early termination of the 30,000 billion VND credit package has caused customers who previously signed loan contracts for this support package to still wait for the Government's policy on whether or not they will continue to be disbursed with preferential interest rates after June 1, 2016 (?).

The apartment building on Le Loi Street (Vinh City) attracts many customers who borrow a 30 trillion VND credit package to buy apartments. |
Over the past 3 years, the Government's 30 trillion VND credit package has contributed to making the dream of owning a home come true for many low-income people. However, many customers are currently wondering about the "fate" of this support policy.
Ms. Ngo Ha Van in Hung Phuc Ward (Vinh City) shared: "My husband and I are living with my husband's parents. Thanks to the preferential credit package of 30 trillion VND, my family has recently been able to access this capital source to buy an apartment. With a 72 m2 apartment worth more than 850 million VND, in addition to the family's counterpart capital, the bank has disbursed a loan of more than 300 million VND according to the project's progress, and now there is still a shortage of more than 250 million VND. If we continue to borrow capital from June 1, 2016 and have to pay at commercial interest rates, we are very worried. Because both my husband and I work in a private company, our income depends on a modest salary, paying high interest rates every month will be very difficult for us. Therefore, we really hope to continue borrowing at preferential interest rates, reducing the pressure of debt repayment, and my family will soon have a home."
Similarly, Mr. Thinh and his wife, who are from Yen Thanh and currently live and work in Nghi Phu commune (Vinh city), also received a preferential loan from the bank under the 30 trillion VND credit package to buy an apartment. Mr. Thinh said, “My family borrowed 620 million VND, and has now disbursed 350 million VND according to the project progress. From now until the house is handed over, my family has to pay the investor 270 million VND, we will continue to borrow capital to pay according to the house progress. If from June 1, 2016 we have to pay commercial interest rates, it will be very difficult...
