According to the report of the Central Steering Committee of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", after 4 years of implementing the campaign, the quality of Vietnamese products has increased day by day, many products have become competitive in the domestic market and are loved by consumers.
However, the negative impact of the global economic crisis and the weaknesses of the economy are causing many difficulties in production of enterprises. Consumption of goods is difficult, tens of thousands of enterprises have to temporarily stop production, dissolve or go bankrupt. Unemployment and lack of jobs are increasing. In 2014, the Central Steering Committee of the Campaign will continue propaganda work with the following objectives: Improving and affirming the quality of Vietnamese branded goods and services; stepping up propaganda, promotion and introduction of Vietnamese branded goods and related policies; continuing to raise citizens' awareness, patriotism, building a culture of production and consumption of Vietnamese people; effective State management of market health, ensuring consumer rights, creating conditions for enterprises to improve production and business capacity.
At the Conference on the implementation of the 2014 Campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” on February 18 in Hanoi, Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan, Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Head of the Central Steering Committee of the Campaign, emphasized: The Campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” aims to strongly promote patriotism, sentiment, and responsibility to protect the country's future; build a consumer culture of Vietnamese people; mobilize enterprises to produce many Vietnamese goods with high quality and competitiveness, meeting domestic consumption and export needs; at the same time, promote the combined strength in mobilizing and propagating consumers to use domestic goods. Through the campaign, the trust rate of Vietnamese people in Vietnamese goods has increased significantly.
Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan suggested that ministries and branches should continue to carry out the Campaign well; encourage cadres and civil servants of their agencies and units to buy Vietnamese goods; coordinate in developing propaganda projects for domestic people as well as overseas Vietnamese with full information about Vietnamese goods so that people know; consider forms of honor for businesses, organizations and individuals who do well in the Campaign...
The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also noted that localities need to promote the use of Vietnamese goods among consumers; provide quality Vietnamese goods right in the locality; and support businesses that produce high-quality Vietnamese goods.
