Vietnamese people can travel to 48 countries without a visa
The demand for tourism of Vietnamese people is increasing and the fact that countries are gradually relaxing visa requirements has created conditions for Vietnamese people to easily go abroad.
Countries that do not require visas with Vietnamese passports
1.Thailand: Temporary stay not exceeding 30 days.
2. Singapore: Temporary stay not exceeding 30 days and have a return ticket or ticket to another country, have financial ability to pay during temporary stay and have all necessary conditions to continue to another country.
3. Laos: Temporary stay is not more than 30 days. Those who need to enter for more than 30 days must apply for a visa in advance; temporary stay can be extended up to 2 times, each time for 30 days.

4. Cambodia: Temporary stay not exceeding 30 days.
5. Philippines: Temporary stay is not more than 21 days, provided that the passport is valid for at least 6 months and there is a return ticket or a ticket to another country.
6. Myanmar: Stay not exceeding 14 days, provided that the passport is valid for at least 6 months. (Agreement with Myanmar effective from 26/10/2013).
7. Indonesia: Temporary stay not exceeding 30 days, temporary stay not extended.
8. Brunei: Temporary stay not exceeding 14 days.
9. Malaysia: Temporary stay not exceeding 30 days.
10. Kyrgyzstan: No distinction is made regarding the purpose of entry.
11. Panama: Vietnamese citizens entering Panama for tourism purposes are exempt from visa and tourist card - stay period of 180 days
12.Ecuador: Maximum stay is 90 days for Vietnamese tourists visiting Ecuador.
13. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines: The Caribbean island nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines does not require a visa for visitors from any country or territory. However, to enter the country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of St. Vincent and the Grenadines requires visitors to present a valid passport, a return ticket, and proof of sufficient funds to cover the cost of the trip.
14. Haiti: According to the Haitian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, only citizens of three countries: Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Panama are required to apply for a tourist visa to visit this country, meaning that citizens of the remaining countries can stay in Haiti for up to 90 days and freely travel here without a visa.
15.Turks and Caicos: The Turks and Caicos Islands are a territory of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. To stimulate tourism, this place exempts visas for citizens from many places in the world, including Vietnam. Tourists only need to prove that they have a return ticket to leave the island and will be allowed to stay for 30 days and can extend it once. Duty-free items allowed to be brought into the islands include: 50 cigars, 200 cigarettes, 1,136 liters of alcoholic beverages or wine and perfume for personal use.
16. Dominica: Stay 30 days.

Countries that grant visas on arrival without prior application or visa exemption with conditions attached
20. Maldives: Maldives does not require a visa in advance but is issued on the spot for visitors. Just present your round-trip ticket and hotel reservation and the immigration officer will stamp your passport (valid for more than 6 months). This visa will be free for 30 days. However, a bit different from other countries, they also have an additional "Employment Prohibited" stamp to prohibit workers from coming here to work illegally with this type of tourist visa.
21. East Timor: East Timor does not require a visa in Vietnam. You can fly normally to their airport. There, East Timorese customs will issue you an entry visa for a fee of 30 USD. Note that you must present 100 USD for each entry. The amount mentioned above is just to show them, not to pay. You must also present a return ticket.
22. Nepal: Located between India and China, to visit the small country of Nepal, you only need to prepare USD to pay the visa fee (20 USD for a 15-day visa), 2 passport-sized photos and have a blank page to apply for a visa right at Kathmandu airport. - stay period 90 days
23. India: Vietnam is one of the few countries that are allowed to apply for a visa at 4 airports in India: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. However, the visa applied for at the Indian airport is single (one-time) and valid for 30 days, costing 60 USD. Contact the Indian embassy or consulate in Vietnam for more information if you want to apply for a multiple-entry or longer-term visa.
24. Sri Lanka: Famous for its tea and heritage, the beautiful island nation of Sri Lanka always welcomes international visitors with open arms. You just need to apply for a visa online, pay by bank card for the visa fee, wait for the result, print out the confirmation and bring it to the airport to check in for your flight to Sri Lanka.
-25. United Arab Emirates (UAE): Emirates and Etihad are two UAE airlines that currently have flights from Vietnam. Emirates flies directly to Dubai while Etihad flies to Abu Dabhi. If you use tickets from these two airlines, you can easily apply for a visa online or contact the airline's office in Ho Chi Minh City for detailed instructions. You can also buy Stop Over packages of no more than 96 hours including a visa if you are going somewhere and transiting in the UAE.
26. Iran: Vietnamese passport holders can get a visa at the Iranian border gate, valid for 17 days and 50 USD. Immigration information in the capital Tehran requires you to bring a photo to get a visa on arrival. However, in some cases, they do not collect photos.

32. Japan: From November, Vietnamese, Filipino and Indonesian tourists participating in package tours of travel companies designated by Japan will have their single-entry tourist visa application procedures simplified. The validity of Japanese visas will be extended to 5 years (previously 3 years). In addition, citizens of the above 3 countries, even if they are not residing in their country of nationality, will be able to apply for a visa to Japan through a diplomatic agency authorized to issue visas in their country of residence.

43.Serbia: Visa required[164] Visa free for a maximum stay of 90 days for valid visa holders or residents of the European Union member states and the United States.
Seychelles: Tourists allowed to enter for 60 days at the airport
Somalia: Visa is issued at the airport for a stay of 30 days provided you send the airport immigration office a new letter 2 days before your arrival.
44. Taiwan: Vietnamese citizens (who have never worked abroad) with valid visas from the US, Canada, UK, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and European Schengen visas (including permanent residence cards) will be exempted from visas to enter Taiwan for a stay of 30 days. However, they need to register online for approval, and only after approval can they check in and enter Taiwan. The approval certificate is valid for 30 days, and multiple entries can be applied for during the validity period. This registration is exempted from visa fees.

List of countries/territories that issue visas to Vietnamese people without charging fees:
Algeria, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Nicaragua, Romania, and Cuba are countries that issue visas to Vietnamese people with valid passports and do not charge fees.
