Vietnamese people buy and sell more than 4 billion USD through e-commerce platforms
KTĐT - 4.07 billion USD is the total revenue from e-commerce sales in Vietnam in 2015, an increase of 37% compared to 2014, and accounting for 2.8% of total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue nationwide.

This is the latest data from the 2015 E-commerce Report announced by the Department of E-commerce and Information Technology (Ministry of Industry and Trade) on April 14, 2016.
According to this report, computers, phones, office equipment, fashion and accessories are the most traded product groups on e-commerce platforms with a rate of 23%; real estate services account for 12%; food and beverage 10%, accommodation and tourism services 8%.
In 2015, the e-commerce websites of businesses with large revenues were mostly in the group of websites selling items such as airline tickets, electrical appliances, household appliances, electronics and digital products, audio and visual equipment, etc.
Of which, the 10 e-commerce websites of the surveyed enterprises leading in revenue include: vietnamairlines.com, thegioididong.com, esale.zing.vn, fptshop.com.vn, lazada.com.vn, nguyenkim.com, pico.com, dienmaycholon.vn, hc.com.vn, and phucanh.vn.

Also in 2015, the Department of E-commerce and Information Technology conducted a survey on the use of mobile devices for online shopping among nearly 500 people in two cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, including both men and women.
As a result, 95% of survey participants own smartphones, and 34% own tablets. 88% of survey participants search for information about goods and services before making a purchase decision via mobile devices.
Of these, 45% said they used mobile devices at least once a day to search for purchasing information, and 24% used them at least once a week.
40% of users said that the value of orders purchased via mobile devices is usually under 100,000 VND. 36% often buy orders with a value of 100,000 - 500,000 VND, 24% of consumers spend over 500,000 VND on orders via mobile devices.
In 2015, the top 10 e-commerce platforms participating in the survey had the highest total revenue from e-commerce service provision activities such as booth fees, membership fees, advertising, fees based on order percentages including: lazada.vn, chodientu.vn, hotdeal.vn, vatgia.com, enbac.com. rongbay.com. sendo.vn, cungmua.com, deca.vn, adayroi.com...
