(Baonghean) - Nearly 31 years old and having been the Chairwoman of the Commune Women's Union for more than 7 years, Ms. Luong Thi Hue is admired and trusted by the people of Nghia Hung Commune (Nghia Dan District). Because, despite her young age, Hue has affirmed her role as a "leader" in gathering and uniting to build a "common home" to protect the unfortunate.
In Hamlet 6, Nghia Hung Commune, everyone knows about the extremely difficult circumstances of Ms. Vo Thi Ha's family: her husband died early, she had to raise two children to study, and also had to take care of her elderly mother. Many times it seemed like her legs would give out because of the burden of life. In that situation, the Women's Union of Nghia Hung Commune, headed by Ms. Luong Thi Hue, President of the Women's Union of the Commune, promptly helped Ms. Ha with specific actions to overcome the harsh challenges of life, stabilize her life, and raise two obedient and good-looking children.
The first thing Ms. Hue did was to discuss with the Women's Union of the commune to use the union's fund to buy gifts, books, and clothes for Linh and Giang (Ms. Ha's children) so that they could go to school like their friends. Not letting everyone down, for many consecutive years of study, both children were excellent students of the school, excellent students of the district, especially in grade 9, the eldest sister Linh excellently won 3rd prize in the provincial excellent student competition in French. Next, in the loan evaluation stage, the Women's Union also selected Ms. Ha as a priority subject, standing as a creditor for the bank to lend 30 million VND to buy a breeding female buffalo, creating a long-term livelihood for the whole family.
Ms. Ha was moved: “Family life is still full of difficulties. But thanks to the women in the Women's Union, especially Ms. Hue, who always cares and encourages us both materially and spiritually, my children and I are much more confident. The children can continue to go to school like today, partly thanks to the great help of the Commune Women's Union”. With a heart of sharing with difficult circumstances, the Commune Women's Union is sponsoring 2 families with 4 students in difficult circumstances with gifts and cash so that they can go to school until the end of high school.
In addition, Ms. Hue also devoted much effort to building and implementing highly socialized movements with great influence in the branches. Typically, the "Women's savings" movements in 15 branches saved a total of 73 million VND, 103 kg, 43 working days to share and support 38 disadvantaged member households. In addition, promoting exemplary and pioneering spirit, Ms. Hue and the Executive Committee of the Association also established a savings group of 36 members, saving at least 30,000 VND/person per month. After 2 years, the program has saved 14 million VND to help 7 members in difficult circumstances borrow interest-free loans.

Not only stopping at the union level, she also boldly advised the Party Committee and the commune government on many good ways to implement the study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh in the Women's Union organization such as the movement: "Nghia Hung women donate land to build roads to join hands in building new rural areas", the model "Women with merit, husbands do not betray"... Thanks to that, for the past 7 consecutive years, the Women's Union of Nghia Hung commune has been awarded the title of outstanding unit by the Women's Union of Nghia Dan district. Ms. Hue herself has been awarded a certificate of merit as an excellent Union official for 5 consecutive years by the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district. In 2011 and 2012, the Chairman of Nghia Dan district awarded her the title of Advanced Laborer.
Ms. Luong Thi Hue shared: “I am also a woman, a wife, a mother, so I understand the thoughts and aspirations of women. Rural women generally have a difficult life. Therefore, my greatest passion is to build highly effective movements, bring the association's activities into depth, and contribute to enhancing the role and position of women in society. From there, building the Women's Union is truly a "common home" - a place where women help each other to progress in all aspects and also a place where women can share and contribute to the community for the common cause of the country".
