According to activists from the Asia Pacific Obesity Prevention Alliance (APIOPA), bubble tea poses a huge risk of obesity and diabetes because it contains almost the same amount of sugar as carbonated soft drinks.
A 350ml serving of bubble tea can contain around 90g of sugar, 7g of fat and 490 calories. Some flavored bubble teas contain sugary syrups, which can contain higher amounts of sugar than regular bubble tea./.
