Nguyen Ngoc Khanh won the Asia-Pacific Physics Gold Medal
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 9, Ms. Nguyen Thi Giang Chi, Vice Principal of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, said: Nguyen Ngoc Khanh, a 12th grade Physics major student at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, won the Gold Medal at the Asia-Pacific Physics Olympiad.
This year's Asia-Pacific Physics Olympiad was held in Hangzhou, China. The Vietnamese delegation participating in the competition had 8 students. As a result, two students won Gold Medals: Vu Thanh Trung Nam (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted) and Nguyen Ngoc Khanh (Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted). In addition, 3 students won Silver Medals, 1 student won Bronze Medal and 2 students received Certificates of Merit.

This is the second time Nguyen Ngoc Khanh has participated in the Asian Physics Olympiad. In the 2013-2014 school year, Khanh won a Bronze Medal. With this result, Khanh was specially selected to join the Vietnamese team to participate in the International Physics Olympiad.
