(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 15, at Nghia Bac hamlet, Quynh Nghia commune (Quynh Luu), the Navy Command coordinated with local authorities to organize the inauguration ceremony and handover of a gratitude house to Mr. Bui Ngoc Ke.

Attending the ceremony were Ms. Truong My Hoa - former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President, President of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, Head of the Club for Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa; Commander of the 131st Naval Brigade (the unit assigned to mobilize construction funds). On the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of Quynh Luu district and Quynh Nghia commune, and many people from Nghia Bac hamlet.

Mr. Bui Ngoc Ke (born in 1945), enlisted in 1963, was a veteran of the unnumbered train, tasked with transporting weapons and vehicles to the southern battlefield by sea. After returning from the army (1985), his family faced many difficulties, had many children, was often sick, and lived in a cramped and makeshift house.

Faced with the situation of veteran Bui Ngoc Ke, the Liaison Committee of the Nghe - Tinh region's unnumbered train group proposed to the Navy Command to support the family in building a house of gratitude. The Navy Command assigned the task to Brigade 131, the unit that raised 70 million VND.

With the support of the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district (20 million VND) and the support of relatives, clans and family savings, after more than 3 months of construction, the gratitude house was completed with an area of ​​over 60m2, total value of about 250 million VND.

This is a meaningful gift for veteran Bui Ngoc Ke on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.
