Thao Van is a young woman who has made a significant difference in the lives of young people with disabilities. In collaboration with her brother, Nguyen Cong Hung, she founded the social enterprise “Will to Live” (WTL) in Hanoi in 2008. The “Will to Live” Center focuses on integrating people with disabilities into society. Nguyen Thao Van is a disabled girl who is highly appreciated for her will to live.

The Hanoi International Women’s Club (HIWC) has always promoted the boldness to dream and the determination to make those dreams come true. Each year, HIWC recognizes a female individual who has shown the strong will and motivation to achieve her dream despite the many difficulties and challenges she has encountered. Such an example helps many people and is an inspiration to us all.

The Hanoi International Women’s Club (HIWC) is a non-profit group whose members are foreign women currently living in Vietnam. The objective of HIWC is to promote the development of social, humanitarian and cultural activities among its members, the expatriate community in Hanoi and the people of Vietnam; and to create a forum for foreign women to establish and discuss common interests in their personal and professional lives in Vietnam.
