Nguyen Thi Loan won high scores in the sports competition at Miss World

In the Miss World 2014 Sports competition, Nguyen Thi Loan's team came in second. She also scored quite high in the competitions and was the beauty with the highest achievement in the Asian region.

The results of the first sub-competition of Miss World 2014 have been announced with the gold medal awarded to Miss Finland - Krista Haapalainen. The silver medal went to Miss Hungary - Edina Kulcsár, and the bronze medal went to Miss South Africa - Rolene Strauss.

32 contestants made it to the finals of the sports competition, including two individual and team categories. The event took place at the Lee Valley Sports Center. The Miss World 2014 contestants tried their best and performed beyond expectations.

Miss Finland won the Sports competition.

The first part of the competition was the sprint, which was a close race between the contestants from Finland and Ivory Coast. Miss Ivory Coast - Yeo Jennifer was the winner of the first challenge by only a few hundredths of a second. The representative from Vietnam took 13th place out of 32 in this competition.

Next was the long jump, many contestants said that this part was a bit unfamiliar to them but once again, team spirit was shown by the experienced contestants instructing the less experienced contestants on how to jump properly.

And once again it was another battle between Miss Finland and Miss South Africa, and the African representative jumped further. However, Miss Hungary took first place in this challenge. And Nguyen Thi Loan achieved a pretty good position of 11th out of 32 in the long jump.

And the final individual event was a timed endurance race alongside a sprint. Miss Finland once again came second and Miss South Africa was the winner of this grueling event.

After the individual competitions, it was time for the team competition. The 32 girls were divided into 4 different teams, each team had 8 contestants (red, blue, yellow, and green); the Vietnamese contestant was placed in the blue team (including: Belarus, Hungary, India, Jamaica, Mongolia, Iceland, Serbia) and the overall result ranked second.

Three beauty queens won top positions in the sports competition.

The team competition consisted of a tug of war, which was won by the red team (representing Miss Austria, Brazil, Colombia, England, Gibraltar, Kosovo, Mexico, and Wales). Next was the 4X200m relay, with each team selecting only the four fastest runners to complete this race. The result was the yellow team (represented by Côte d’Ivoire, Czech Republic, Finland, and Haiti) that came in first.

After totaling the scores of both individual and team competitions, the judges selected the 3 best girls. And after 2 days of fierce sports competition, Miss Finland won the championship, Hungary won the second place and South Africa came in third.

Nguyen Thi Loan is also full of hope that she will have enough points to be in the list of 15 contestants with the highest scores in this sports competition. On November 28, the contestants entered the Supermodel competition and most of the newly-posted Miss Worlds were in the Top 3 of this competition.
