Nguyen Thi Loan performs Long Vu Khuc at Miss World

Miss Sea Nguyen Thi Loan will perform the official national costume named "Long Vu Khuc" by designer Vo Viet Chung in the Miss World 2014 contest.

The outer robe is inspired by the ones worn in the solemn ceremonies of the ancient royal court, reminiscent of Queen Nam Phuong during her coronation ceremony. The two sleeves are rolled up with many layers of fabric inspired by the crow's beak scarf of the North. The material of this robe was ordered from India and woven with a special type of yarn covered with gold thread. The inner layer still retains some traditional details of the ao dai, the yellow motif on the body of the robe is the image of dragon scales - a powerful mascot representing the kings of the past. The special feature of this outfit is the conical hat of ancient Kinh Bac women, which has been transformed into 3 layers, each layer has a different pattern.
