On the afternoon of January 7, in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defense held a conference to present decisions on personnel work. General Ngo Xuan Lich, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense chaired the conference.

Appointed Mr. Dinh Manh Phac, Commander of Phu Tho Provincial Military Command, to the position of Deputy Commander of Military Region 2. The President also signed a decision to promote comrade Dinh Manh Phac from Colonel to Major General.
