Journalist Le Quy Ky: Diligently traveling and writing
Although we know that his health has been declining for the past few years and he has been hospitalized several times, when we heard the news of his death, we - his close colleagues - were still shocked and saddened! Since the end of 1975, when I moved from Hanoi to Nghe An Newspaper, he had been working here for more than 10 years. Since then, we worked together until he retired in 1999. That amount of time is more than enough for the love of colleagues, comrades, friends, brothers... to remain in each other forever with so many happy and sad memories!

Since the end of 1975, when I moved from Hanoi to Nghe An Newspaper, he had been working here for more than 10 years. Since then, we worked together until he retired in 1999. Mr. Le Quy Ky was born and raised in Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province. His childhood and education had to move around, moving to many places in the Central region, which was harsh and extremely difficult due to the country's war situation. He studied primary school in his hometown, secondary school in Quang Binh and high school in Ha Tinh, then entered the 2nd course of the Faculty of Literature at Vinh Pedagogical University. In 1963, he returned to work at Nghe An Newspaper, from then on, he was attached to and passionately devoted to the land and people of Nghe An for the rest of his life.
During the war years, the name Le Quy Ky became familiar to readers of Nghe An Newspaper with hot news and reports right at the fierce battle points to truly reflect the patriotism, courage and dedication of our army and people in the long-term resistance war against the US to save the country. After 1975 until the early years of renovation, during the period when Nghe An and Ha Tinh merged into the province, the enthusiastic atmosphere of production and construction of the country in all regions of Nghe Tinh province was an endless source of inspiration for him to go and write. His feet set foot in the most difficult and poorest places, and at the same time appeared in models, typical examples, and representative frontlines of the emulation atmosphere of construction and construction of the country. Colleagues and readers of the time could not forget Le Quy Ky who was attached to and worked continuously for 3 years with the great irrigation project of Ke Go Lake (Ha Tinh). During this time, he not only wrote hundreds of news and articles to reflect the atmosphere of determination to build, but also accumulated life experience and published many literary works in different genres, including novels.
Mr. Le Quy Ky is also famous as a writer with a strong spirit of polemics. He is one of the leading journalists and has had many successes in the fight against negativity, corruption, waste... We love, respect and admire him because he is a passionate journalist, a steady writer who has left works that have made a strong impression on readers, including many articles that mention "hot" issues that attract attention, forcing public opinion to care, and sometimes to debate. To do that, his pen is not afraid to face all the difficulties, hardships, and even disadvantages that a journalist fighting against negativity may have to face.
In his career as well as in life, he has always shown himself to be a man of courage, always honest, straightforward, not afraid of conflict and not afraid of offending. Only those who understand his virtues will appreciate him. Mr. Le Quy Ky is a man who loves the Party, perseveres in his strong belief in the Party's cause. His friends and colleagues will surely not forget his efforts to join the Party. After decades of persistent efforts, going through many challenges, it was not until he was over 50 years old that he realized his dream of joining the Party.

Mr. Le Quy Ky is an example of a dedicated and passionate working spirit. Anyone who has ever been on a business trip with him will see that he works tirelessly. When in contact with the subjects that need to be exploited, he takes advantage of the exploitation and records the documents meticulously and carefully until he is satisfied. I remember in 1998, when I went with him to the Central Newspaper Conference in Binh Thuan, when I returned to Vinh on a reclining chair, I felt tired, couldn't sleep and didn't want to do anything. As for him, for more than a day on the train, except for a few hours of sleep, he was absorbed in reading books and newspapers, absorbed in taking notes without feeling tired. From then on, I realized that it was thanks to that way of working that helped him not only become a strong and healthy journalist, but also the author of quite successful stories and memoirs, such as: Storm, novel, 1990; Random literature, literary criticism, 1996; Epilogue, memoir, 2000; Literary Borders, literary criticism, 2000; Literature of Time, literary criticism, 2005; Raising Children During the American War, memoir, 2006; Alley Behind the City, memoir, 2007.
It was thanks to his passion for writing that even in his retirement years he was able to leave behind those works. In recent years, despite his illness, in his subconscious, he still remembered the Nghe An Newspaper office, where he had been working for nearly 40 years, often going to read the newspaper and meet and exchange work experiences with young journalists. That was also his last image that will forever remain in our minds and this article would like to be a stick of incense to send him off to eternity!
