In the article, the author recalls the war of 1854-1856 and emphasizes that it went down in history not as the "Ukrainian War", but as the "Crimean War".

“And there is no hypothetical Ukrainian fleet stationed in Crimea,” he wrote.

Journalist Besson noted that Ukraine had nothing to do with the start or end of the war. He admitted that it was impossible to find any information about the Crimean Peninsula's political or military ties with Ukraine during this period, and believed that there were no Ukrainians among the soldiers defending Sevastopol.

"The Battle of Malakhov is a stronghold of Russian soldiers, not of the Ukrainian army, which does not exist at all," the article said.

Mr. Besson recalls Anton Chekhov's 1899 story "The Lady and the Little Dog," in which neither Ukraine nor anything related to Ukraine appears.
