People's Teacher Le Van Phot re-elected Chairman of Nghe An Retired Teachers Association
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 27, the Association of Former Teachers of Nghe An province organizedCongress of DelegatesTerm III, 2017 - 2022with the participation of 108 official delegates, representing more than 18,000 members of the Provincial Association of Former Teachers.

Nghe An Retired Teachers Association was established in 2007. After 10 years, the province now has 22 district-level and equivalent associations, 423 grassroots associations in wards, communes and towns, with a gathering rate of 93.5% of retired teachers. Of these, there are 200 strong grassroots associations, 5 outstanding associations, recognized and rewarded by the Vietnam Retired Teachers Association, 5,882 outstanding members have received the medal "For the cause of building and developing the Vietnam Retired Teachers Association".
During the 2012 - 2017 term, the Nghe An Retired Teachers Association overcame all difficulties and challenges, making the most of support to build solidarity and unity and become a trusted address for all retired teachers and educational managers; a support for the current teaching staff.

Speaking at the congress, Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Chi - Director of the Department of Education and Training highly appreciated the contributions of the Association of Former Teachers in recent years. From the scientifically based counter-arguments, associated with local educational practices contributed by members of the Association of Former Teachers, the education and training sector of Nghe An continued to gain a lot of experience in management and operation, in effectively implementing innovative teaching models in the spirit of Resolution No. 29 of the Party Central Committee.
In the 2017-2022 term, he hopes that the Association will continue to consolidate and develop its organization, pay attention to mountainous areas, disadvantaged areas, and Catholic areas, and strive for 100% of districts, cities, wards, and communes to have grassroots associations. In addition, it will continue to care for the material and spiritual life and protect the legitimate rights of its members. At the same time, it will continue to operate actively, contributing to the goal of promoting the patriotic and revolutionary traditions, intellectual capacity, and good qualities of teachers, contributing to the implementation of the education and training development strategy, serving the task of industrialization and modernization of the country.
The congress elected 30 delegates to the Executive Committee for the 3rd term. People's Teacher Dr. Le Van Phot was re-elected as Chairman of the Provincial Association of Former Teachers for the 2017-2022 term. Meritorious Teacher Dau Van Dinh, Meritorious Teacher Tran Huu Hi and teacher Luu Duc Thuyen were elected as Vice Chairmen of the Association of Former Teachers.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee presented the Provincial Former Teachers Association with a banner with the inscription: "Nghe An Former Teachers Association: 5 years of dedication, intelligence, and responsibility contributing to the construction and development of Nghe An province's education career".

The Vietnam Association of Former Teachers awarded the Emulation Flag, and the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Certificate of Merit to the Nghe An Association of Former Teachers. In addition, 32 groups and 40 individuals were also awarded Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam Association of Former Teachers and the Provincial People's Committee. The Provincial Association of Former Teachers also awarded certificates of merit to 64 groups and 90 individuals with outstanding achievements in the association's work.
