"Swan Lake" (Лебединое Озеро, Lebedinoye Ozero) is Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's 20th ballet, composed around 1875-1876. The ballet is based on Russian fairy tales as well as an ancient German legend, telling the story of Odette, a princess who is magically transformed into a swan. It premiered on March 4, 1877, at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow under the title "Swan Lake". To this day, "Swan Lake" remains one of the most famous classical ballets, performed in numerous different versions.

In 2012, the Russian Ballet Theatre's ballet "Swan Lake" caused a sensation when it premiered in Moscow, and it continued to achieve further success when it toured in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, the United States, Australia, and other countries.
