The largest hydroelectric plant in Thua Thien Hue province officially generates electricity
On the morning of June 14, in Hong Ha commune, A Luoi district (Thua Thien - Hue province), the Central Hydropower Joint Stock Company held the official power generation ceremony of A Luoi Hydropower Plant - the largest hydropower project in Hue after exactly 5 years of construction.
A Luoi Hydropower Plant started construction in June 2007 with a total investment of 3,223 billion VND, with the Central Hydropower Joint Stock Company as the project owner. By June 2012, the project was officially put into operation. The hydropower plant has a capacity of 170 MW, expected to supply an additional 650 million kWh of electricity per year to the national grid, contributing to overcoming the power shortage in the dry season.

A Luoi Hydropower Project is built on the A Sap River, the largest hydropower project in Thua Thien - Hue province. The generated electricity is transmitted by a 220 kV double-circuit line to the 220 kV Hue-Dong Ha transformer station.
A Luoi Hydropower Plant also supplies water to the Bo River in the summer, serving irrigation work, pushing back salinity, developing aquaculture in the northern districts of TT-Hue, and increasing electricity for the Huong Dien Hydropower Plant below. In addition, it also creates an ecological landscape for the mountainous district of A Luoi.
Engineers and workers at A Luoi Hydropower Plant are monitoring the operation of machinery and equipment on the morning of June 14.
