White House: Mr. Trump and Mr. Putin did not meet privately at APEC

Russian President Putin and US President Trump did not meet privately at the APEC Summit due to overlapping schedules.

The White House said on November 10 that US President Donald Trump will not have a private meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the APEC Summit taking place in Da Nang, Vietnam due to overlapping schedules of the two leaders.

“Regarding a meeting with Russian President Putin, there has never been official confirmation of this meeting and no meeting between the two leaders will take place due to scheduling conflicts,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters minutes before the plane carrying the US President landed at Da Nang airport.

"Now the two leaders will be in the same place. Will they bump into each other and greet each other? That's entirely possible. But a planned formal meeting is not on the agenda and we don't know in advance whether it will happen," Ms. Sanders added.
