White House admits Abrams tanks delivered to Ukraine are not the best
The Abrams tanks delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces are not the most useful for Ukraine, said National Security Advisor Sullivan.

According to RIA Novosti on December 8, US President's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan admitted that the Abrams tanks delivered to Ukraine lack manpower; and they are not the most useful equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in combat operations.
“We sent Abrams tanks to Ukraine. In fact, those Abrams tanks are undermanned. So they are not the most useful equipment for Ukraine in battle,” Sullivan said in a speech at a defense forum in California.
Mr. Sullivan emphasized that this assessment "completely" coincides with the US military's view.
The US president's adviser also warned that transferring long-range US ATACMS missiles to Ukraine and allowing strikes deep into Russian territory would not be a "panacea" for Kiev.
According to Mr. Sullivan, the current ammunition supply is very important for Ukraine as well as the manpower problem that Kiev has been trying to solve in the past few months.
Military Watch magazine reported in September 2024 that 20 of the 31 Abrams tanks delivered to Ukraine at that time had been destroyed, disabled, or captured. In interviews with Western media, Ukrainian servicemen expressed dissatisfaction with the characteristics of the model, citing both technical problems, in particular the low condensation resistance of electronic components, and their vulnerability to Russian weapons.
