The 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam completed its final agenda earlier than expected, successfully concluding the congress.

The two important issues - the two key points that determine the quality and success of each Party Congress - are the issues of documents and personnel. This Congress is considered to be thorough and methodical. Moreover, the process leading up to the Congress started early, the space and time were long and wide, and all developments were observed, analyzed, and reflected in the content of the documents.

The personnel issue, above all the Party's strategic leadership team, was prepared in a long-term process, with a roadmap, in accordance with regulations and procedures. The goal of selecting people with enough capacity, virtue, real talent, truly for the people and the country to shoulder the responsibility of implementing the construction of a strong country has reached the standard. A new Executive Committee was elected, with a structure, quantity and quality that were not beyond expectations, for our Party, more than a success, it is a victory.

200 members of the 13th Central Committee were introduced to the Congress at the closing session on February 1.

During the days of the Party Congress, the people joyfully expressed their faith and expectations for a congress that would create a turning point, leading our nation to prosperity, strength, and happiness. The people trusted and encouraged the team of descendants selected by the Party, expecting them to be a proud and self-respecting team!

An event that cannot be ignored, as it will make people remember and talk about, happened in the last few days of the Congress. The Covid-19 epidemic broke out again in our country. An unexpected and unpredictable misfortune. But that is a harsh reality, a test of political acumen, response capacity, and management in the face of unexpected safety incidents. That is also another opportunity for the Party's leadership to demonstrate, to strengthen trust, and to rally the people by demonstrating their mettle and character.

In practice over the past several terms, there have been many cases of self-transformation and self-evolution to the point of degeneration and corruption. They only care about personal enrichment, destroying the country, and threatening the survival of the Party.

They are only dealt with and eliminated when people denounce them and organizations get involved. There has been no case of them proactively and voluntarily admitting their mistakes and shortcomings and resigning.

Therefore, from this term, the Party needs to have a regulation for screening and self-screening its staff. Assign tasks to each Party cadre, by year, half term, full term, specifically, differently, quantitatively, not qualitatively, generally. If the task is not completed, the person voluntarily resigns; if not, the organization will dismiss or remove them from office.

It is also an opportunity to add talented people to the Party's ranks without having to wait for a new congress.
