Thousands of knives, swords, and machetes imported from Thailand by a company in Ninh Kieu district, declared as agricultural tools and prepared for distribution and retail, were discovered and seized by authorities.

On the afternoon of December 1, Can Tho City Police said they were investigating the discovery of more than 2,000 machetes, knives, and swords in a warehouse of a company in Ninh Kieu district.

Previously, on the afternoon of November 30, Ninh Kieu District Police, Can Tho City suddenly inspected Anh Quoc Metal Tools Company Limited (address: 61/9 Hung Vuong, Thoi Binh, Ninh Kieu) with Mr. La Trung Hau as director.

There, the police discovered more than 2,000 agricultural tools with wooden handles and metal blades shaped like knives, swords and machetes. The director of this company admitted that the above shipment was imported from Thailand, worth 8,000 USD and was prepared for distribution and retail.
