Japan: 129 diners suffer food poisoning at hotel

City governmentKumamoto, consciousKumamoto, southwestern Japan on November 24 ordered the closure of the restaurant of the Araki tourist hotel in Ueki town, North district, city after a large-scale food poisoning incident caused by Norovirus.

According to city authorities, 129 of the 419 diners aged 57-89 who ate at the Araki Hotel from November 14-18 developed diarrhea a few days later.

Diagnostic results for 29 specimens were found positive for norovirus.

Miyazaki Prefecture announced a food poisoning incident at a hotel in the city.Kumamoto"While there are reports of patients using the services of this hotel in the provinces.Kumamoto,Nagasaki,Fukuoka, Saga andOita.

Previously, the cityKumamotoNovember 21 only issued a warning about norovirus poisoning.

City government spokesman advised people to eat cooked food, wash their hands thoroughly and disinfect cooking utensils./.
