The Nagoya-based Institute of Biomedical Research successfully developed the antibody after conducting a joint research project with Thailand since 2009.

In 2013, the project achieved successful research results.

The Institute's research paper has been published, but so far, the research results of scientists in Nagoya have not received much attention in Japan, so the Institute has not been able to conduct clinical experiments to deploy practical applications.

Officials of the Research Institute said that because practical application requires a lot of investment, the Institute is still seeking to cooperate with pharmaceutical companies both domestically and internationally to develop drugs to treat dengue fever.

According to the above official, this will take many years./.
