Japan tests disaster and war warning system

For the first time, Japan will test a nationwide disaster and war warning system next September.

This is a system of transmitting information from the Government via satellite and then relaying it through local broadcasting systems to the people in case of natural disasters and wars.

By design, it takes only 1-2 seconds for information to be transmitted from the Government to local public address systems.

Japan's war and disaster warning system was originally planned for use in the prefecture for the first time.Okinawawhen the DPRK launched a satellite on April 13. However, previous tests in some localities had problems so this system was not used./.
