(Baonghean.vn) - In recent days, in Tuong Duong district, there has been prolonged heavy rain, water from upstream has poured down, causing the water level in the streams to rise, cutting off many roads, isolating many villages.
Mr. Le Hong Thai - Secretary of the Party Committee of Tam Hop border commune, Tuong Duong district said: The circulation of storm No. 4 has caused continuous heavy rain over a large area in the commune and neighboring communes, starting from the afternoon of September 28. Accordingly, water from rivers and streams rose, causing flooding at the spillway located right at the gateway to Tam Hop commune, which is the only route for people in Tam Hop commune to reach the district center. Therefore, all villages in Tam Hop commune were isolated.
To ensure the safety of students, schools in the area have given students a day off. Currently, local authorities have assigned forces to be on duty to prevent people from passing through this dangerous area.

Similarly, in two inner villages of Yen Thang commune, Xop Coc and Tat village,isolatedfrom September 28 to present.
The route from Trung Thang village, Yen Thang commune to Xop Coc village and Tat village has 2 spillways, one at the beginning of Xop Coc village, one at the end of Tat village. Every time it rains, the water in Chon stream rises very quickly, causing the 2 villages in this area to be isolated, all trading activities of the people are completely cut off. It is known that Xop Coc village and Tat village, Yen Thang commune have about 200 households with about 800 people.

A representative of the local government of Yen Thang commune said that because the Chon stream is quite wide, whenever the water rises, it is very dangerous for people to pass through, potentially causing a risk to their lives and property. Therefore, the local government has set up checkpoints to prohibit people from passing through.
In addition, the spillway in Con Muong village, Luu Kien commune is also flooded, isolating Xoong Con and Luu Phong villages.

According to the data of the PCTT-TKCN Command Committee of Tuong Duong district: As of 5:00 p.m. on September 29, 57 houses in the district were affected (in there:4 houses were urgently evacuated, 30 houses had landslides, 24 houses were at risk of landslides); 33 livestock and poultry were killed or swept away; 28.38 hectares of pure rice and 0.8 hectares of crops were broken; 1 school; 1 commune People's Committee office, 2 cultural houses, 8 overflow bridges were flooded and many traffic routes were eroded.
