(Baonghean.vn) - In the province, at present, there are 8 hydroelectric plants and 2 irrigation reservoirs operating flood discharge. The flood discharge is in accordance with regulations and tends to decrease. However, the weather is still very complicated, so we cannot be subjective. This is information from the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense.

Hydropower plants that have been and are discharging floodwaters include: Khe Bo Hydropower Plant, Chi Khe Hydropower Plant, Ban Ang Hydropower Plant, Chau Thang Hydropower Plant, Song Quang Hydropower Plant, Hua Na Hydropower Plant, Ban Coc Hydropower Plant, and Nhan Hac Hydropower Plant.

Specifically, Khe Bo Hydropower Plant started releasing floodwaters from 3:30 p.m. on September 29; current discharge at 9 a.m. on September 30: 1,015 m3/s, is expected to decrease in the coming time.

Chi Khe Hydropower Plant started releasing flood water from 8:00 p.m. on September 24 with a flow of 82m.3/s; flood discharge from 9am on September 30 is 1,617m3/s, forecast to decrease in the coming time.

Ban Ang Hydropower Plant started releasing flood water from 11:30 on September 29 with a flow of 320m3/s; flood discharge at 9am on September 30 is 450m3/s, forecast to decrease in the coming time.

Chau Thang Hydropower Plant started releasing flood water from 3:00 p.m. on September 28 with a flow of 97.9 m3/s; discharge volume at 9am on September 30: 501m3/s, the discharge is expected to increase to about 1,100m3/s in the near future.

Song Quang Hydropower Plant started releasing flood water from 3:00 p.m. on September 28 with a flow of 9.9m.3/s; discharge at 9am on September 30 is 64m3/s, forecast to decrease in the coming time.

Hua Na Hydropower Plant discharged flood water from 5:00 p.m. on September 25 with a flow of 51 m3/s; discharge flow at 9am on September 30 is 2,020m3/s, forecast to decrease in the coming time.

Ban Coc Hydropower Plant started releasing flood water from 12 noon on September 25 with a flow of 40m3/s; discharge at 9am on September 30 was 114 m3/s, forecast to decrease in the coming time.

Nhan Hac Hydropower Plant discharges water through the free spillway and through the current generator at 9:00 a.m. on September 30: 350m3/s; flood discharge at 10am on September 30 with flow rate of 500m3/s - 1,000m3/S.

Currently, the Song Sao and Vuc Mau irrigation reservoirs are also operating flood discharge. At the Song Sao irrigation reservoir, the discharge flow is 310m3/s. At Vuc Mau irrigation reservoir, the water level at 9:30 a.m. on September 30 was 21.93 m, the water flow to the reservoir was 1,162 m3/s; the management unit is operating the discharge with a flow rate of 559m3/s at 3 outlets.

Prolonged heavy rains and the operation of the Vuc Mau irrigation reservoir to discharge floodwaters have severely affected the Hoang Mai town area.
